MOSCOW, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Russia's federal budget deficit for January-March 2026 reached 4.58 trillion rubles (58.3 billion U.S. dollars), or 1.9 percent of GDP, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday.
The ministry said the deficit increased by 2.62 trillion rubles compared with the same period last year, mainly due to advanced financing of expenditures.
It added that oil and gas revenues fell by 45.4 percent to 1.44 trillion rubles in the first quarter, while non-oil and gas revenues rose by 7.1 percent to 6.87 trillion rubles.
