Siti Nurhaliza warms hearts with childhood Raya stories

SONGSTRESS Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza not only captivated the audience with her voice, but also charmed fans with heartfelt childhood stories during a special Hari Raya Aidilfitri concert last Friday, reported Harian Metro.

The beloved singer took a nostalgic turn in between sets, sharing memories of growing up in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, offering a glimpse into her simpler days.

“Times have changed so much since I was young.

“I grew up like any other child in Kuala Lipis and celebrated Aidilfitri just like them,” she recalled.

Siti Nurhaliza said Hari Raya was the most exciting time of the year as a child.

“Of course, it was because of the duit raya,” she said, drawing laughter from the audience.

She recalled going from one block to another at the police barracks where she lived, keen to collect as much money as possible.

Her Raya outfit, she added, even had four pockets, all the better to store her collection.

“Back then, duit raya mostly came in coins, so my pockets would get heavy and were almost always full,” she said.

The anecdotes delighted more than 2,000 fans at the “Pentas Eksklusif Aidilfitri: Beraya bersama Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza” concert, adding a personal touch to an already memorable evening.
