Datuk M. Nasir will celebrate five decades in the music industry with Magnum Opus: M. Nasir Dekad Ke-5, a special concert featuring 30 of his iconic works reimagined with the Orkestra Simfoni Kebangsaan (OSK).

The concert will be held on Dec 5 at 8.30pm at Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur.

Spanning his career from 1979 to 2026, the 150-minute performance will showcase selected works from his extensive catalogue as a singer, composer, lyricist and producer.

The 30 songs will receive new symphonic arrangements by Mohd Rafi Shafie, with the OSK led by music director Eric Lee Yin Fah.

Directed by Shabromo, the production will incorporate surrealism, philosophy and symbolism, reflecting Nasir’s distinctive artistic style.

The show continues the Magnum Opus series, following Magnum Opus Siri 1: Kembara Ke Solo in 2017 and Magnum Opus Siri 2: Search, Wings & Rock ’N’ Roll in 2019.

Tickets go on sale Friday (Aug 21) at 3pm via ilassotickets.com.

Ticket prices range from RM288 to RM1,588, with seats available across the Stalls, Grand Circle and Upper Circle categories.

There will also be accompanying programmes at the Istana Budaya foyer, including an exhibition and sale of children’s artwork, as well as a talk session on the publication of a book about Nasir’s musical works.
